Bedside Rugs
Have you ever woken up in the morning, put a bare foot out of bed and felt a shiver go through your body? Not pleasant at all. I love cold showers, but not this one, never ever! There is no historical information about the introduction of bedside rugs, certainly prior to Elio Vittorini, who wrote: “… the women on the balconies banged their bedside rugs…” (to be avoided, and in rugs washing I will tell you why) but it is undoubtedly a beautiful idea to preserve the destiny of a day!
Few locations allow us such complete freedom of choice as the bedroom rug, it is one of the most intimate areas of our home, we can truly be ourselves and choose what we like best, beyond all conventions.
BEDSIDE RUGS DIMENSIONS
A simple solution is to opt for a pair of matching rugs; if we are talking about Persian rugs, or in any case hand-knotted carpets, you can play the game of differences, manual work always has invisible details that identify it. The available sizes range from 60 X 40 cm (23′ 62″ × 15′ 75″) up to 150 X 100 cm (59′ 05″ × 39′ 37″)and offer a wide range of possible solutions. Sometimes you are lucky enough to even come across a triptych, i.e. two identical bedside rugs and a bed end with the same colors and designs but elongated, or two identical or very similar rugs and a third that can be combined.
